Leonard Anthony Morris, Jr., 22, is back behind bars following the execution of a search and seizure warrant at a Frederick apartment on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

According to the Frederick Police Department, warrants were obtained for his arrest following a probe into Morris' alleged involvement in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances in the area.

During the search, investigators recovered:

  • Glock 20 handgun with a loaded extended magazine
  • Poly 80 PF940C 9mm handgun with a loaded extended magazine, lacking a serial number, equipped with a “Glock Switch;”
  • TACR112C rifle with a loaded magazine;
  • EP Armory homemade assault rifle receiver with no serial number;
  • 9mm assault rifle barrel with no serial number;
  • Glock switch, capable of converting a semi-automatic pistol to a fully automatic firearm;
  • Hundreds of rounds of various ammunition (.40 caliber, .22 LR, and .223 caliber);
  • $1,833 in cash;
  • 77.5 grams of cocaine;
  • 373 grams of cannabis/marijuana;
  • 36 Alprazolam pills;
  • Nine ounces of Promethazine.

Subsequent checks determined that one of the weapons, a tactical .22 long rifle, had been reported stolen in Baltimore County in April.

At the time of the bust, Morris was on probation through 2028 for a conviction two years ago when he was 19. He is now facing new drug and weapon charges.

Morris is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
